Traditional Owner Sector Support Program

The Traditional Owner Sector Support Program supports the establishment and operation of Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAP)s.

RAPs are appointed by the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Council (VAHC) under provisions in the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (AH Act). RAPs are eligible for funding on appointment.

The program provides support through a range of grants, including:

  • Support for RAPs to undertake functions under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006
  • State-wide forums for RAPs.
